Colorado Springs Trip

Well we are in Colorado Springs.. have been since Wednesday evening. We are here because the State Games of America are being held here and Cory compete's tomorrow in the Martial Arts part of the tournament. We have been really busy being tourists. I wasnt to sure how this trip was going to be because of the evelation and being pregnant. But it really hasnt affected me at all. Thursday morning we went to Pike's Peak I made it up to the stop before the summit... which is 11,000 feet! Yay! Cory and Phyllis went up to the summit and Brenda and I stayed at the 11,000 feet stop. I never once felt sick or hard of breathing. Which was good. Scary driving down because it was foggy, cloudy and rainy and very skinny corkscrew turns. But we made it. Then last night was the opening ceremonies for the State Games of America held at the World Arena. Cory got to walk in the parade of athletes for the state of Kansas which was cool! Friday (today) we got up and we heading to Royal Gorge and we were there pretty much all day. We had a train ride through the gorge. Then we got to go up to the bridge and walk across. That was an amazing view. Tomorrow is Cory's tournament and then we are planning on going to Seven Falls which is a huge waterfall and at night they put lights on the waterfall and its gorgous. I'm 27 weeks along now and feeling great. Feeling kinda big and just blah but oh well.. i keep looking at the fact of I only have 13 weeks left. Which really isnt much. I am in the middle of trying to plan for our baby shower.

Feeling Baby Kicking!!!

Yesterday was the first real day I actually felt baby moving inside! Phew! She was just a moving. I think Cory was aggin' her on a bit to keep going. I've learned she doesnt particularly like Ken's Pizza well she does but she gets the hiccups for a LONG time afterwards which is cute! Today Cory had to go mow his Great grandma's yard which it was sooooo very hot out there we deicded to visit his Grandma's pool afterwards.. it was nice to go and relax! We went to church tonight also and then visited his Grandmother Kowitz then home... we FINALLY got the crib all put together and got Madyson's room all arranged to how we want it!! Now we just need a Rocker, Nursery Decor (Which is picked out just need to buy it), and a baby!! :) I'm 24 weeks now and feeling great. can't believe how fast this pregnancy has gone.. it seems like it was just yesterday we found out we were pregnant!!! Hope all is well with everyone!!!

4th of July

Well we were here for 4th of july this year. Seemed weird but it was still fun! Thursday afternoon I got off of work about 3 and came home and cleaned the house up a bit. We went out to Brenda's house later to see the project that Cory helped with... a new patio door. Turned out nicely!! :) Friday we slept in and then we went to the mall which was a change for us... I was looking for Maternity clothes but found nothing... Guess we'll have to go to Wichita and get to the bigger stores because hutch has nothing. We then had a karate class over here and then had a pizza party. Saturday we slept in and went to the gorcery store (big mistake.. as everyone was there!!). But got home and quickly made brownies, cupcakes, and corn casserole. Then loaded up and headed to Grandma's house for the rest of the day. We swam and just realxed. Cory grilled burgers and hot dogs for everyone... then we shot off some fireworks... then Brenda Phyllis and us we went to Brenda's house and blew off more fireworks.. from brenda's house you can see the mcpherson fireworks, inman, state fairgrounds, plus many many residential fireworks going on. It was amazing to just sit out ere and watch everyone elses fireworks last night. We got home about midnight... unlaoded the car and today I've been cleaning out Madyson's room... I deicded that Im 23 weeks so I better at least start doing something on her room. This week's corys going to shampoo the carpets and possibly put together the crib we got to see if its in good condition. So needless to say I cleaned out the closet and dresser in here... he has to move the futon and the computer desk then it will start looking like a baby room! :) Yay!!!
Anyways here's a few pictures from out weekend! :)
Enjoy! Hope everyone had a good 4th of July!

A Hot Weekend at the Lake...

Well we went to the lake this weekend and it was very very hot. But we still had a good time playing around in the water and relaxing. Cory headed out to the lake thursday afternoon and I went out there after work thrusday and then i drove back in for work Friday and then back out there again. It was very very hot even the water was almsot too warm to be in there. saturday the water was finally cool enough you could be in the water for a long time. We were in the water for a few hours. Like i said it was a good weekend away and relaxing! We got home before noon today and we had to clean up the house a bit then get ready for the Warren Drive block party. We made Devilled eggs and corn casserole. About 4:30 we headed to the block party. .. there was a ton of food.. it was too hot out there though we werent there for very long before i said "it's just way to hot out here" Thats about it for updates... It's different having Cory home from work now everyday but it's nice too.... most of the time i dont have to cook dinner anymore. For the 4th of july weekend coming up we really dont have any plans we didnt get in a camping reservation soon enough so we will be around here... proabbly heading to Cory's grandma's pool and swimming for awhile.

It's a Girl!!

Well we found out that we are having a girl!! We are both excited! I was thinking I was going to have a boy but a girl will be great!! Im 21 weeks now.... Here's the online news for this week: Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now, and if you're having a girl, her vagina has begun to form as well. Here's some pictures from the Sonogram we had yesterday!! :) (Pictures arent uploading correctly i'll get them in a few days!) Enjoy!!

Halfway 20 Weeks!!!

I'm officially halfway through this pregnancy. It has gone sooo fast and Cory and I both can't wait til Wednesday when we find out what we are having!! Hopefully either boy or girl will cooperate and we'll get some good sonogram pictures! Here's whats happening this week with baby: Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery). We have been having just a quiet weekend.... I drove to Wichita yesterday to meet up with Cory and do a Karate class at the East Side fitness Center then we went out for dinner to Famous daves that was quite yummy. We were going to go see a movie at the Warren Theater however Cory could have gotten cheaper tickets through Cessna and forgot. So we just came home. Which was okay too. Today is the South Hutchinson Salt Fest... Bunch of activities here in South Hutch... We are going to be heading down there shortly to get some Corn on the Cob and listen to the band and watch the fireworks. We went shopping today for some summer materity clothes.. went to Target here in Hutch and they had NOTHING... only about 5 racks of clothes most of which were tops... I think I have enough tops for now but I was really looking for some capri's or shorts. So we are planning to go to the Super Target in maize and kohl's next Friday and we'll hopefully find something there.. When we were at Walmart today i did find a cute shirt and capri's so at least thats a start. Luckily I havent gotten that big that it's not like I havent got anything to wear. We went to the new Petco here in Hutch.. it was Grand Opening! VERY BUSY. Everyone had their dog's there we thought about bringing Sam but we'll bring him next time. We got him a new collar and knock on wood he hasnt attacked the bell so much.We are hoping that he will leave it on so we can hear him around the hosue. Let's see... Cory's last day at Cessna officially is Wednesday.. He has to go in Thursday to just turn in his badge and keys and stuff.. but then I think he's going to go and have breakfast with some of the other layoffee's from other layoffs. Life will get interesting after he's done working... But hopefully something will open up. He did find some good news of the job he applied for with Charter up in Wisconsin the status went from Submitted to Send to Manager... which is a good sign. So i'm really hoping he will hear something from them soon. I know he is getting down and out about this no job thing and I am trying to not let it stress me out to hurt the baby but I still just wish the economy wasnt' so bad and nobody had to loose their jobs. Well I hope everyone has a good weekend and is getting ready for their 4th fo July Partys!

Doctor Visit and Wisconsin trip!

Well went to the doctor and I got to hear the heartbeat. I was a bit sad because Cory wasnt there to hear it but he will be next appointment which is June 17th and we will get to find out what we're having... hmmm.. Boy or Girl what do you think? everyone is telling me we are having a boy.. but I'm not sure. Deep down my "motherly instinct" says boy too! Anyways... the Dr measured me and he said that now im measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule so now im actually coming into 18 weeks. I can't believe that i'm almost 1/2 way done with this pregnancy. Cory and I took a mini vacation to Wisconsin to see my family and both of our friends. We left Wednesday evening and flew up there. We just got back today (Monday). It was alot of fun to see everyone again... I'll attach a few pictures! It was very nice to be up there and not be doing anything related to the wedding. Very relaxing which was good! We took a couple walks on the Green Circle trail which is a hiking/biking trail that goes around Stevens Point. many many pics from that... hung out with Amy and Jeremy at Pete's and played darts... ate at many good places. It was a good trip... We even looked for Job's up there because with Cory's job at Cessna he's on his layoff notice right now and that will go til June 19th... Then he's out of there... We can not find him a job in Hutch or Wichita (Proally because Wichtia is getting so hard hit with layoffs). So, we looked for jobs up north and applied at several... We'll see if he gets a call this week... if so we may be heading back up to Wisconsin which is fine by me! Just a waiting game now.... Here's some pics from the trip:
this is us eating at Harbor Bar right on the water...
Not too far from my mom's house... Wisconsin River and Kayaks
Us at Iverson Park How pretty!
