Job!

I FINALLY landed a job... back at Kroger and so excited to be back!!! :) Start next week and have orientation on friday!! Not doing payroll but another position that sounds fun!! Just excited to be in the working world again.

As you can tell I havent been doing the 30 day photography challenge like I said I would. Its harder then it seems.  So oh well.. try next time!!

Our House Project

Since we've moved back to Kansas we have been living with Cory's Grandma. Which is working out great! There was a lady renting out our old house we had so she was out Decemeber 31st.  We have been working on the house pretty much everyday since she's been out. She had a huge dog, 3 cats and 4 ferretts running around the house so pretty mcuh everything has to be replaced.  The carpetting and padding is coming out and being replaced, new countertops,  new ceilings (no more popcorn ceilings), new ceiling fans and light fixtures, new paint, new stove/microvwave, new washer/dryer, new fridge, Pretty much a brand new house.  Mady loves playing in the backyard already and there's nothing special about it yet. we want to work on that once it gets warmer outside and she can play and we'll get a swing set area for her and since its fenced in we wont have to worry about her running into the street.  We still have a long ways ahead of us to go before we can move in but should only be a couple more weeks.  As this week we are ready for the new ceiling and starting on sealing the floors.  then the walls then new carpet.... So we're getting there. until then... here's a few pictrues of before demolishion started.

Madyson's First Haircut

It was a spur of the moment thing..... Cory's Grandma's office is behind a hair salon so by chance we stopped in there and Vicky cut Mady's hair. Madyson had no tears at all... just sat in the chair like a big girl and looked in the mirror like a little diva she is. She had fun just holding onto the curlers and hair clips. But the beautician said no more Johnson's baby shampoo for her..... its not letting her hair get any thicker... So now shes offically a big girl and using big girl shampoo... :( Momma's very sad!

In the mood for Christmas!

Who's in the mood for some Christmas!?? I am..... well I was... we got a huge snowstorm here last week and I was in the mood for Christmas music... So i've been listening to it since then.  I really want to put the tree up but its way to early... So maybe next weekend that way its after Thanksgiving.  Ha! I work Black friday again this year but dont have to go in til 7 which is nice.  Anyways.... Its wonderful having my hubby home now from SPAIN! He had a great time and i'll have to steal some pictures and put them up here. I'm jealous he got to go! Oh well.. for our 5 year anniversary we are planning a trip just us to cozumel or somewhere nice. Since we never really got a nice honeymoon that will be our honeymoon.

Happy Birthday Madyson Rose

We had just a small party here at our new place..... had fun! Mady loves all her new toys and had fun playing with her cousin! I can't believe she is 2 years old!

Went to the Dr today for her 2 year check up and here's the stats:

Weight: 29 pounds 14 ounces---- 90% Height: 35 inches ---- 95% Head: 50 1/2 cm---- 95%

Dr Says she is just a happy and healthy kiddo.

We've been staying busy with karate and working. Cory is heading to Spain this next weekend to compete in the World Karate Championship. We are going to miss him but know he'll kick butt over there. I unfortunaly have to drive him to CHicago to drop him off at the airport and pick him up. Oh well!! :) Us girls are going to have a wonderful bonding experience for that week!! Yikes!!!

Hope all is well with everyone. I figured it was time to update this blog as i'm not very good at keeping it up anymore.. but still think some people lookat it every once and awhile!

Spring has Sprung

We've all stayed super busy. Karate Tournaments probably 3 weekends out of the month. Cory and i just got home from Omaha National martial Arts Tournament. Grandma stayed home with Madyson so we could have a nice relaxing weekend away.

Next weekend we have another tourny and then I get to take my state optometry exam! A bit nervous but I think i'll do okay on it. I hope so anyway.

Had a wonderful Easter a few weeks ago..... Easter Egg Hunt in our yard and Mady knew exactly what to do!
